What is LoveRun?

Who are the Beneficiaries of LoveRun?

LoveRun 2018 @ Malaysia has identified four Beneficiaries that share our visions, namely:

  •        Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity);
  •        Rumah Aman;
  •        The Selangor and Federal Territory Association for the
    Mentally Handicapped (SAMH); and
  •       Refugee Welfare Fund Supported by UNHCR.

REGISTRATION

How do I register for LoveRun?

You can register and purchase your tickets HERE.

Can I register if I am under 18 years old?

If you can cover the course of the race, of course!

The Fun Run is open to all ages – in fact, those below 7 years old can participate for free, without a Race Pack.

The Angel & Guardian Run is open for people with disabilities who are at least 7 years old as of the Event day, and accompanied by a guardian above 18 years old.

Can I bring my child/children along?

Yes you can!

Can I participate in the Fun Run if I am under 18 years old but my guardian is unable to attend?

Yes you can, as long as you obtain parental/guardian’s consent and submit the relevant indemnity declaration form during the registration process.

Can I participate in the Angel & Guardian Run if I have a disability but my guardian is unable to attend?

Unfortunately, no! You may only participate if you are accompanied by a guardian who is at least 18 years old.

Can I register if I am pregnant?

We strongly discourage your participation in any of the categories if you are pregnant. We don’t want you or your baby to get into any unforeseen accidents!

Can I register if I have special needs?

Yes you can! You may register for the Angel & Guardian Run, as long as you are accompanied by a guardian who is at least 18 years old.

What are the registration fees?

The fees may vary based on the promotions available at the time of purchase, and the category you choose. To review the ticket price and make your purchase, go HERE.

What is included in the registration fees?

Your registration comes with your entry ticket, along with a Race Pack, depending on the category you signed up for. Learn more about the Race Packs HERE.

I do not have any disabilities. Can I still register for the Angel & Guardian Run?

No. The Angel & Guardian Run is for those who are either physically or mentally disabled and their respective guardians only. Please register for the other categories instead!

Can I change my race category after registration?

No. Exchange of registration cannot be made once registration is completed.

Can I transfer my registration to another person?

No. Registration is strictly non-transferable.

Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?

No. Cancellations or refunds will not be allowed once registration is completed.

Do I get a refund in the event of bad weather?

No refunds will be given in the event of bad weather.

How will I know if my registration is successful?

You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. If you do not receive an email, please contact us.

What if I do not receive a confirmation email after registration?

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us.

Can I register on the day itself?

No. All registrations must be done by the closing date for registration.

What are the payment methods?

All payments must be done online through our website.

RACE PACKS & PRIZES

What is included inside my Race Pack?

The contents of your Race Pack depend on the category you signed up for. Learn more about the Race Packs HERE.

When and where can I collect my Race Pack?

You may choose for your Race Pack to be delivered to you at a fee, or to be physically collected. For physical collection, you may collect your Race Pack(s) at Sunway Velocity Mall from 12th to 14th October 2018.

What do I need to bring along to collect my Race Pack?

Please bring along your IC or Passport, and your order number to collect your Race Pack.

Can somebody else collect my Race Pack for me?

Yes! But the representative will need to present a photocopy of your IC or Passport upon collection.

Can I collect my Race Pack on the Event Day itself?

No, there will be no Race Pack distributions on the Event Day itself. Any uncollected Race Packs before the day of the Event will no longer be distributed.

Will there be a finisher’s medal/certificate or other prizes?

Every participant who finishes the course in the category they signed up for will receive a finisher’s medal and e-certificate!

On top of that, the Top 10 finishers in each of the 4 categories for the Professional Run, and the Top 3 finishers for the Angel & Guardian Run will a receive a special prize at the end of the race.

Can I still get the finisher’s medal/certificate if I do not complete the race?

Unfortunately, those who do not complete the race will not receive a finisher’s medal or certificate. This is to ensure fairness to those who give their best to finish the race.

Will I be able to collect the finisher’s medal on another day?

No. All finisher’s medals must be collected upon completion of the run, on the day itself.

How do I retrieve my e-certificate?

You may download your e-certificate by logging into your LoveRun account HERE after the run, if you successfully finish the course of the category you signed up for.

RACE

What are the race categories?

LoveRun 2018 @ Malaysia comprise of the following categories:

  •        12km Professional Run:

o   Male Open (18 to 39 years);

o   Female Open (18 to 39 years);

o   Male Veteran (40 years and above);

o   Female Veteran (40 years and above);

  •        5km Fun Run; and
  •        3km Angel & Guardian Run.

Will the run be timed?

The Professional Run is a timed category. Every registered participant for that category will receive a bib number embedded with a timing chip in their Race Pack, which will measure the time taken for you to complete the course of the run.

What do I need to bring along?

Please bring along the bib number provided in your Race Pack, and your IC or Passport as proof of identification if you win a prize. And of course, bring along your smiles!

What if I am injured during the race or unable to finish the race?

Don’t worry, our medical team and crew members will be on stand-by to assist you should you run into trouble.

What will happen if I miss my category’s flag-off time?

For safety reasons, if you do not start the run within 20 minutes after flag-off of the category you signed up for, you will be disqualified and not allowed to participate.

Is there a cut-off time to complete the run?

Yes. The cut-off time for all categories is 8PM.

If I am unable to finish the race, will there be a transport for me to go back to the starting point?

Yes, we will ensure that you get back to the starting point safe and sound.

Can I bring along my pets?

Unfortunately, for the safety of all runners, no pets are allowed.

Can I bring along my prams/push carts during the race?

Yes, if you registered for the Fun Run, feel free to bring along your babies for a stroll! But if you are participating in the Professional Run or Angel & Guardian Run, then prams/push carts are not allowed.

Is there a baggage drop-off area at the race venue?

Yes, baggage storage will be provided so rest assured.
